Things in Barbie Land keep getting crazier by the day as the movie sets new records and the lead actress’s staggering paycheck for the movie gets revealed.

No matter how you look at it and whether you love or hate Barbie, you can’t argue with numbers — and Greta Gerwig’s latest movie is surely doing them. Despite proving to be a controversial subject for some people, Barbie’s undeniably taking over the world more and more as time passes, and it doesn’t seem to slow down.

As of now, less than a month after its release, the movie is already sitting on a phenomenal box office revenue of over $1.18B, and it still has time to improve the current result. This is not only beneficial for the company and the studio but for the cast, too, since everyone’s getting a cut — primarily, of course, the lead actors.

It was earlier revealed that both Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling had a solid salary of $12.5M, but as the movie is performing wonders at the box office, this is far from being the final number. While we can’t be sure about Gosling’s share, we just learned how much Robbie will earn from Barbie at this point thanks to Variety.

According to their sources, the lead actress’s cut will sum up to a whopping $50M paycheck with salary and box office bonuses combined. This amount only gets more insane when you realize that prior to that, Margot Robbie’s total net worth was estimated to be around $40M: she effectively just doubled her fortune with one film!

It’s only logical to assume that for Ryan Gosling, the situation is rather similar: he and Robbie are both A-listers, so they likely have the same cut. Apart from that, the director of Barbie, Greta Gerwig, will also get hefty bonuses, though we’re not sure just how large of a sum we’re talking about in her case.

Barbie just became the second-highest-grossing movie in Warner Bros.'s entire history, coming right after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 which earned $1.34B back in the day. Some people even think Greta Gerwig’s bright-pink adventure comedy might overtake the finale of the story about The Boy Who Lived!
