This 80%-Rated Brand New Horror Movie Is Netflix’s Hidden Gem
But things may change when the film finally enters the streaming’s top.
Netflix ’s new arrival hasn’t been talked about that much ahead of its release, but now that it’s finally available for streaming, the movie is set to become the streaming’s next big hit.
Dropped on Netflix’s platform just a few days ago, an action-horror movie titled Under Paris is dwelling on a worst case scenario for the Olympics that the City of Love will be hosting this summer.
What Is Under Paris About?
Under Paris takes its viewers a bit further into the future where the world’s biggest sports event is already taking place in Paris and everyone is witnessing France’s first ever World Triathlon Championships on the Seine.
The overall excitement suddenly fades away when Sofia, a brilliant scientist, receives a sinister message from young environmental activist Mika about a huge shark hiding in the river that may attack the Games’ competitors at any moment.
Determined to prevent the nation’s big celebration from turning into a great tragedy, Sophia embarks on a whole new mission to catch the shark where she’s joined by Seine river police commander Adil.
Having spent very little time on Netflix so far, Under Paris has already become a bombshell that surely won’t take much time to climb to number one position in the streaming’s top 10. The movie received critical acclaim, to-date holding an impressive score of 80% while the audience doesn’t seem to be that impressed having attributed the film only 38% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Still, Under Paris, released on June 5, has plenty of time to earn everyone’s attention, especially amidst all the mess that the French capital is facing ahead of the Olympic Games that the city needs to host at the highest level.
Under Paris can now be streamed on Netflix worldwide.
