After filming, the actors apparently washed their mouths with soap.

Summary:

  • Martin Scorsese 's The Wolf of Wall Street holds the record for the most F-words – the word is uttered 569 times in the film.
  • • In general, Scorsese's films are known for their large number of F-words: 422 – in Casino, 300 times – in Goodfellas, 237 – in The Departed.

When a huge amount of effort and resources are invested in the production of a movie, it is not surprising that the creators and the project itself can go down in history.

James Cameron ’s Avatar became the highest-grossing film in history, Toy Story entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the first animated film created on a computer, and Perfect Strangers has the most remakes.

The Wolf of Wall Street, however, has its own milestone to be proud of.

The Wolf of Wall Street Contains the Most F-Words

One of the most unusual records is held by Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. Everyone knows that the Jordan Belfort biopic is the epitome of opulence and glamour.

The luxurious life of one of America's most despicable white-collar criminals is filled with drugs and sex, and the character, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, loses his head to money and power.

Not surprisingly, the movie broke the record for the most F-words used in a movie – in total, the F-word and its derivatives are used 569 times.

Although this record has been challenged by other films, The Wolf of Wall Street is still considered the winner in this race.

In general, Martin Scorsese's projects are known for their abundance of curse words – the F-word is used 422 times in Casino, 300 times in Goodfellas, and 237 times in The Departed.

The Wolf of Wall Street is the Funniest Scorsese Movie

The Wolf of Wall Street, based on the book of the same name by real-life Jordan Belfort, was the fifth collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio. This project was perhaps the raunchiest film of Scorsese’s career, who was in his 70s at the time of its release.

The story of stockbroker Jordan Belfort's rise to the top of Wall Street is a classic Scorsese tale of a man's downfall that he witnessed at a very young age in Citizen Kane, which amazed him.

In contrast to the pompous The Aviator or the somber Taxi Driver, Scorsese presented the biography of Belfort with an enthusiasm that was unusual for him.

In general, The Wolf of Wall Street is probably the funniest movie by the director, who has never made a pure comedy in his entire career (at least so far).
