These 5 The Walking Dead Characters Unrealistically Survived for Too Long
It seems like luck is these guys’ greatest superpower.
Have you ever watched The Walking Dead and wondered how the heck are some of these people still alive?
If you did, it’s time to remember those unlikely survivors who somehow managed to make it through the zombie apocalypse for way too long.
Gabriel Stokes
Gabriel started off as a cowardly preacher who abandoned his congregation during the early days of the outbreak. However, he's since redeemed himself by becoming a valuable member of Rick's group. The big question is: how did he manage to survive all this time before meeting Rick and the group?
Tara Chambler
Tara has had a tough journey throughout the series, losing her family and being forced to join the Governor's army.
She was an okay character, but she never really did anything significant to justify her survival. She was just kind of there, and yet she managed to make it all the way to season 9.
Eugene Porter
Eugene is a genius, but he's also a coward. He managed to survive this long by attaching himself to stronger characters and letting them do all the heavy lifting. It's hard to believe that he wasn't killed off at some point, especially considering how useless he was at times.
But he redeemed himself as well, and was a key player during the war against the Saviors.
Glenn Rhee
Glenn is a fan favorite, but let's face it, he's had more close calls than we can count. The best example of it is when he's been trapped under a dumpster, surrounded by walkers.
The creators wanted to make us think he was dead only to actually kill him off in season 7, which eventually made many viewers drop the show.
Carol Peletier
Carol has gone through some major character development throughout the series, going from an abused housewife to a badass survivor. However, before she became the badass lady, she was lucky to survive.
She's also had her fair share of close calls, including being banished from the group and being captured by the Saviors. Yet, she's still managed to make it through.
