Unhealthy relationships are the strongest, right?

All the good guys in movies and TV shows are almost the same, but the toxic characters only have one thing in common: they give you the creeps, and sometimes you don't even understand why. You seem to like them, but something in your heart prevents you from fully embracing their personalities.

Here are some of the best examples of how the most famous TV bastards somehow managed to make you love them, no matter how toxic they are on screen.

1. Joe Goldberg — You

Penn Badgley has done an excellent job portraying a charming (at first glance) bookstore manager who later turns out to be a terrible creepy stalker. He doesn't give his "love interests" a chance — he just corners them to find his true love among them. And it seems that nothing can stop his dark obsession.

2. Frank Underwood — House of Cards

House of Cards is probably the show with the most toxic characters. But there is one man who is the heart of the dark series. Frank Underwood's lust for power knows no bounds. There is no way to stop him until he gets what he wants, and he will use any means necessary, be it manipulation, intimidation, or even the most brutal murder, to succeed. He is dark and sinister, and yet we are stunned by his presence.

3. Ross Geller — Friends

When we first saw him, we never imagined that Ross would end up on a list like this. But each binge has made us realize that under the guise of a lovable nerd, there is this manipulative, jealous man who is so good at turning the tables that he can easily earn the title of “The Gaslighter of the Show.”

4. Mr. Big — Sex and the City

Another example of how a man's charm and good looks can confuse us. Mr. Big was this dream of a perfect man that probably every girl who watched Sex and the City dreamed about. But it turns out that all the things he's pulled on Carrie just make him a delusional, self-centered, emotionally unavailable narcissist.

5. Jan Levenson — The Office

She is the only female character on this list, but she is definitely the one worth mentioning. She made Michael go to hell and back. Snip-snap, snip-snap, snip-snap! She was so abusive to him that we really started to feel sorry for the guy. And that's something we really thought was impossible.
