If one can even call it a battle.

Warning: the following article contains book spoilers for House of the Dragon episode 10

It has become quite clear that the tenth and final episode of House of the Dragon is going to feature the Battle at Storm's End. Prince Lucerys and Prince Aemond of team Black and team Green respectively are going to clash in a vicious battle up on their dragons — and this is wrong from the very beginning, if you think about it.

While many people refer to it as a battle or a duel, they seem to forget that Lucerys has basically just become a teenager. Riding a relatively average-sized dragon Arrax, Lucerys does not stand a chance against his adult uncle Aemond who is riding the biggest living dragon in Westeros, Vhagar.

House of the Dragon Fixes A Glaring Game of Thrones Plot Hole

This is why you might trigger quite a few House of the Dragon fans if you refer to the stand-off as a "battle", because for them, it looks more like a "cold-blooded murder".

"There is no "versus" just a man murdering a child / the largest dragon in the world eating a baby dragon." – @em_whacks

In fact, you only need one screenshot from episode 10 trailer to see that the odds are long — to say the least.

It seems that people are ready to preemptively hate Aemond for the obvious outcome of the "battle".

"This is not "aemond vs lucerys", this is aemond cowardly killing a CHILD for something that happened years ago when said child was literally defending his brother and himself from being killed by aemond, a boy who was fully prepared to murder them," Twitter fan danceandflames argued.

In fact, it looks like there is an actual storm coming, because people are already raging even though the stand-off has not even happened yet. Expect Twitter to explode with hate towards Aemond and sympathies (condolences, if we're being honest...) for Lucerys.

House of the Dragon finale will hit HBO Max this Sunday, October 23. The second season has already been greenlit, but we don't know the premiere date yet.
