Daredevil and She-Hulk Finally Teamed Up – In More Sense Than One
Murdock's fans, rejoice!
Disney+ has released the penultimate episode of season 1 of the Marvel series She-Hulk. The new episode featured Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, for the first time. Fans have been waiting for him to turn up for quite some time now, and She-Hulk finally delivered – in a pretty amazing way.
Charlie Cox starred as Daredevil/Matt Murdock in the Netflix series Daredevil, which was cancelled back in 2018. The character returned as Peter Parker's (Tom Holland ) lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, but he only had a brief cameo. Luckily for Daredevil's fans, She-Hulk latest episode featured a lot of epic and funny scenes with Matt.
Spoilers Ahead!
In Episode 8 She-Hulk / Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany ) represents Leap-Frog / Eugene Patilio (Brandon Stanley), who accuses designer Luke Jacobson (Griffin Matthews ) of giving him a faulty superhero suit. Luke's lawyer, it turns out, is Matt Murdock, who easily wins the case, since Eugene actually just ignored the instructions on how to use the suit.
After the trial, Eugene asks Jennifer to help him deal with a certain intruder. As it turns out, Eugene is attacked by Daredevil. She-Hulk fights Daredevil and then discovers that it's actually Matt underneath that signature red cowl. Matt tells Jennifer that Eugene kidnapped Luke so a designer could create the perfect suit for him. Jennifer and Matt eventually team up and rescue Luke.
Teaming up in more sense than one, Jennifer and Matt hook up later in the episode, and boy did it anger some fans with apparently "unrealistic" turn of events. On the other hand, the majority of viewers thought that chemistry between Daredevil and She-Hulk was amazing. The whole episode was actually the best one yet, with fans now saying that the MCU despite all the precious criticism is capable of making great shows – if only the studio didn't rush them too much.
Daredevil will return soon enough in future Marvel projects. The character will make an appearance in the Echo TV series (premiering in the summer of 2023), and will also get a new solo series, Daredevil: Born Again, premiering in the spring of 2024.
She-Hulk's season 1 final episode is scheduled to premiere on October 13.
