Even though the movie is yet to hit theaters, some were already lucky enough to see it.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is days away from its official theatrical release, but early reviews have already indicated that Marvel appeared to have stepped away from its post-credit scene tradition.

The movie seems to only have a mid-credit scene in which Shuri meets T'Challa's son, who shares a name with his father. According to early reviews, the scene is touching and serves a decent tribute to late Chadwick Boseman who portrayed Black Panther in previous movies.

The reason for Wakanda Forever to not include any kind of an exciting tease after the film is simple, according to the creators.

"Obviously, the weight of this movie is a bit different, and the tone of this movie is a bit different, and it felt, especially, once people see the film. We felt the ending was kind of poetic that to then go back and say, "Hey, there's a tag at the end of the credits," felt a little disingenuous tonally from what we were doing. Much like [Avengers] Endgame didn't have a tag, this didn't feel like a movie that needed it," Wakanda Forever's executive producer Nate Moore told Collider.

Those who have already seen the movie praised the mid-credit scene as heartfelt and tears-provoking, with some even saying that the introduction of T'Challa's son is a perfect and subtle way to "recast T'Challa" without undermining Boseman's legacy.

However, many fans were expecting Wakanda Forever to introduce Doctor Doom in the post-credit scene, with some people still believing that the introduction was being kept secret before the official theatrical release.

Still, it looks like the creators believe that the tone of the movie is not appropriate for teasing new characters but rather paying respects to those who are no longer with us.
