The Walking Dead Reddit Picks Unlikely Group as the Show’s Most Atrocious
If you think The Saviors or The Whisperers are the nastiest groups, you might want to reconsider.
When we talk about the most ruthless, vile groups in The Walking Dead, a few names instantly pop up. The Governor's people, who had their own twisted sense of justice; The Saviors, led by the charismatic yet brutal Negan; and of course The Whisperers, who wear zombie skins.
But according to many fans on Reddit, there's one group that outdoes them all in sheer awfulness: The Terminus. But why do fans single out Terminus as the worst of the worst?
Just imagine being a survivor, wandering alone, covered in the grime and despair that comes with the end of the world. You stumble upon signs pointing to a sanctuary called Terminus. Your hopes skyrocket, only to be crushed when you realize they're cannibals who lure people in to eat them.
What elevates Terminus to a whole new level of horror is their cold, calculated approach to their atrocities. One Reddit user highlighted a scene where Gareth, the Terminus leader, was casually counting people as if he were ticking off items on a shopping list.
It's a chilling moment that shows they've completely detached themselves from any semblance of humanity, all in the name of survival.
Of course, the Reddit discussion didn't ignore other contenders. The Governor got a lot of mentions. This guy deceived his own people, killed innocents, and even kept his zombified daughter as a pet. But his group wasn’t evil per se, they were misled by a crazy leader.
Interestingly, there was a lone voice in the Reddit crowd arguing that Negan could be considered worse than the Terminus group. According to this user, Negan is pretty much the epitome of evil — a slaver, torturer, and someone who takes pleasure in others' pain.
However, the majority of fans seemed to disagree, possibly because Negan has shown signs of redemption and hasn't crossed the cannibalism line.
So, according to the collective wisdom of TWD fans, Terminus stands as the most ruthless, disgusting group in the entire Walking Dead universe. But opinions vary, and maybe you've got a different take on this.
