Why create something new when you already have something old but gold?

The Simpsons is one of the longest-running cartoon series of all time. It has proven its worth to fans a million times over with plots that somehow managed to be true to life and mention almost every world event in its episodes.

The show's characters are known all over the world, and over the years some of their names have become common nouns.

For example, if you call someone Lisa Simpson, you will definitely be addressing a young, smart, opinionated girl with a tremendous sense of what's right in life.

The Simpsons is currently in its season 34, and it seems that the writers are running out of ideas on what to show in their show.

So they are starting to recycle the storylines that have already had their moment of glory. For example, the one from 28 years ago.

In The Simpsons season 6 episode 15 entitled Homie The Clown, Homer spends some time with Crusty and asks him to help him learn how to be a clown. But pretty soon he gets in trouble with the local famous mobster Fat Tony.

Well, in episode 21 of season 34, titled Clown V. Board of Education, we get to see almost the same thing, but with a twist.

Instead of Homer, it was Bart who learned the secrets of the clown industry from Krusty. And he also became another Simpsons family member who saved the clown from the mob by demonstrating the clowning skills he taught them.

Well, those familiar with the first seasons of the series never missed the same plot in two seasons, even though there were some differences in the stories.

However, the endings of both episodes were quite similar, as both featured Krusty teaming up with the Simpson family to fight the mob.
