8. Bloody Mary
We all know the story of Bloody Mary who was brutally murdered, and her eyes were cut off, so now she just does the same with her victims.
Good news, to summon Mary you have to say her name three times in front of the mirror, otherwise she won't appear. We are not that stupid to break the only rule.
7. Changelings
These creatures are well-known in Western folklore, and they are monsters that replace a child in a family.
They look entirely normal, just like a stolen kid, but their true colors are horrific: hollow eyes and mouths filled with too many teeth so they can suck on their "mother" and feed on her.

A classic mythological monster from US and Canadian folklore. Wendigo is a very smart, fast, and immortal creature, but with its drawbacks — it is a cannibal who possesses humans.
What is more devastating — Wendigo used to be a human itself but seemed to kick all instincts into gear.

Doc Benton or Frankenstein 's monster is not a mythical creature, he is a crazy man who was mad about his immortality. Working as a doctor in the past Benton managed to kill people by cutting out their organs.
You wonder why? To place them into his own body. It helped Doc to stay alive for more than 200 years until Sam and Dean found and killed him.

Another creature that has a weakness for eating human flesh.
Rakshasa is a shapeshifter monster that disguises itself in a human form to get people's trust. On the show, it appeared as a clown, so it could trick children and make them let it inside a house.
No way we would open the door to someone that looked like this, we are not crazy.

Unlike the typical legends, Supernatural djinns don't grant your wishes, well, they do, but in their own crazy way. Djinn can easily find out your deepest desire just by touching you.
You'll get what you wished for but with a twist — none of this will be real as you'll be put in a coma in order for the genie to feed on you.

The major part of scary episodes on Supernatural always had something to do with ghosts.
They are not what we imagine them to be — these scoundrels are not transparent and helpless, they can literally take a knife and kill you (just like that little girl from the family portrait, remember?).
Moreover, you can't banish them just like that. You have to burn their remains or the thing that belonged to them in the past and still has a connection with their soul.
