The Risk of Bob Odenkirk Ruined by MCU's Corny Jokes is Very Real
Adding this guy to the MCU might not be such a good idea as you might think.
Bob Odenkirk, who we know and love as Saul Goodman from Better Call Saul, might join the MCU if viral rumors are to be believed. But not everyone is equally happy about such a possibility.
Ever since She-Hulk: Attorney at Law started streaming, fans have been flirting with the idea of sliding Odenkirk into the MCU – maybe even as his character from the Breaking Bad universe and not someone original.
Now, however, it is rumored that Odenkirk is being eyed for a "special role" in Marvel's upcoming Wonder Man project.
The Big Reason Marvel Refused To Recast Black Panther
Many people thought it was a good idea. However, a lot of OG Better Call Saul fans are begging for the rumors to not be true.
Their main fear is that the MCU will ruin any character Odenkirk brings to screens with its "corny jokes". Given the controversy around the amount of questionable humor in the MCU recently, the risk is quite real indeed.
One person even used an outtake from Better Call Saul to illustrate how devastating it would be for the Breaking Bad prequel fans to watch the iconic actor in the MCU.
Others believe that Odenkirk is too big of a name to be cast alongside "such a D-lister" as Wonder Man.
However, there are many people who also believe that actors like Odenkirk might actually make the MCU even classier and provide space for more quality content. Some fans noted that Marvel "has been dropping the best casting news this week", apparently nodding to the recent decisions to cast Aubrey Plaza and Joe Locke in WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
The Bob Odenkirk rumors have not been officially confirmed by Marvel, nor they have been commented by the actor himself.
