The Price of Glee Docuseries: Fans Better Brace Themselves for a Wild Ride

Mid-October, Deadline revealed that a documentary on the behind-the-scenes of the series was in the works.

This Thursday, December 8, a first trailer was unveiled.

Interviews with loved ones, archive images, and unpublished statements allude to a dramatic setting and promise many revelations. It seems there is much more to the story of Glee than anyone realized.

In 2009, 10 young actors made their TV debut on Glee and by 2020, they were all established stars. But sadly, three of them are now dead. That's the tone set by The Price of Glee, which is set to air on Investigation Discovery January 16, 2023 and will be available on Discovery+. The docuseries promises to tell the real story behind the global phenomenon that is more twisted than anyone could have imagined.

The teenage show, created by Ryan Murphy, has been marked by numerous tragedies. Cory Monteith (Finn) died of a heroin overdose in 2013, and Naya Rivera (Santana) passed away in 2020. Mark Salling (Puck) was arrested for possessing child pornography and then committed suicide in 2018. Plus, there have been numerous accusations of racism and bullying against Lea Michele ( Rachel).

Many fans of the popular TV series Glee have expressed disappointment and outrage over the recently released trailer for a new documentary series about the making of the show.
