Even the best shows can’t stand the test of time sometimes.

No matter what genre of TV shows you prefer to watch in your spare time, there are some sitcoms that are so popular you can't afford to miss them. Chances are you've seen at least one episode of Friends, The Big Bang Theory, or The Office.

But depending on which episode you've stumbled upon, your reaction can be quite different.

The Office, for example, is known for its great sarcastic humor, laughing at corporate culture, and Michael Scott's amazing quotes that became memes and spread around the web.

However, even The Office has an episode that hasn't stood the test of time and is best skipped altogether.

Despite being released not too long ago, the Diversity Day episode is too cringe-worthy for many to even try to re-watch today. The humor that was borderline offensive in 2005, but still considered "edgy" by audiences, may seem downright awful today, and some people don't find it funny.

Although the episode lost viewers compared to the previous episode, this has nothing to do with the poor handling of racism. Diversity Day was the second episode of the first season, so the drop was natural after the success of the pilot. At the time of its airing, Diversity Day received a largely positive reception from both viewers and critics.

What do you think of the Diversity Day episode?

To this day, people debate whether or not the episode is worth watching. As with most hits, audiences tend to either love it or hate it with a burning passion.

While some fans feel that skipping Diversity Day wouldn't hurt since the show is just getting started, others feel that this episode was a perfect introduction to what to expect from The Office as a whole. Sure, the writers were still trying to figure out the flow, but Diversity Day managed to perfectly capture the unhinged spirit of the show.

If you want to make up your own mind about the episode, you can go ahead and stream it on the Peacock.
