From his constant grumpiness to the bad advice he gives all over the place, Dale is one of the most hated characters on the show. What was his lowest moment?

Season 3 of Young Sheldon introduces us to the tough coach who wouldn't want to give Missy a chance because of her gender. Not a great start already, right?

There was never any chance that he'd grow on us.

He is always unsatisfied with everyone and everything (what does cheerful and perky Meemaw even see in him?), he has the emotional range (and maturity) of a teaspoon (Hermione knew what she was talking about), and he gives the worst advice ever (we all love Mandy and Cece, but Dale is largely responsible for Georgie getting a girl pregnant at 17).

It seems like things can't get any worse for Dale, but they do. In the season 6 episode, Four Hundred Cartons of Undeclared Cigarettes and a Niblingo, Dale reluctantly comes to the rescue when Meemaw and Georgie are arrested.

He pays $2,500 to bail them out and keeps taunting Connie all the way home (as if she doesn't feel bad enough).

Since they are broken up at that point, Meemaw offers to pay everything back to Dale and even jokes about sleeping with him as a way to wipe out her debt.

Dale is flabbergasted at the thought of it and says that "one roll in the hay" isn't worth $2,500.

Connie immediately withdraws her offer, and Dale has the audacity to claim that sleeping with him five times seems "fair" and more price-appropriate to him. Eww!

The scene is played for laughs, and we get that it is Texas in the 1990s, but come on. Are we supposed to believe that this so-called caring man was (or is) in love with Connie when he says such misogynistic things? Not a chance.

Sure, Meemaw is the first to suggest paying off her debt in this way, but she only does it because Dale wouldn't take her money and wouldn't let go of the situation.

Plus, it is clearly her way of making peace with Dale and maybe even getting back together. Dale totally ruins everything and shows his true colors.

It's a shame the creators are pushing Connie and Dale together when he clearly doesn't deserve her. Dr. Sturgis, we miss you…
