Why are Jackie and Michael back together? And how did they end up with a teenage son?

That '90s Show, currently streaming on Netflix, reunited most of the original gang from That '70s Show, including Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, who reprised their roles as Jackie Burkhart and Michael Kelso. But it seems not everyone is happy with the way the original characters' arcs have been handled after a nearly 17-year hiatus.

While discussing the Netflix show with Access Hollywood, Mila Kunis said that one aspect of her character's story felt very off and unbelievable. In the sequel, Jackie and Michael are together, and that just doesn't sit right with Kunis.

While Kunis and Kutcher are married off-screen, their characters couldn't be more apart in the 2006 Fox series finale.

Fans of the original show remember that Jackie and Kelso were each other's first love and had a tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship that unfolded throughout the sitcom. But in the end, they were not meant to be.

Jackie's heart was stolen by her charming friend, Fez, portrayed by Wilmer Valderrama. And Kutcher's character ended up with librarian Brooke, played by Shannon Elizabeth, and even had a child with her.

Now fast forward 17 years later and things have changed a lot for all these characters. Fez now owns a salon in Chez Fez and is dating another woman, and Jackie and Michael are married and have a son, Jay, who is about 16 years old.

"You know what, I called BS," Mila Kunis commented on the changes.

She recalled asking her husband how they could end up together after reading the script. And fans of the original show couldn't help but agree. This development feels very much like a plot hole. How could a couple that broke up in 1979 have a teenage child in 1995? Was Jackie pregnant in the show's finale?

The idea of reviving That '70s Show is certainly a risky one in this age of endless content. And inconsistencies like this could ruin the show for nostalgia-seeking fans. We can only hope that the plot hole will be explained in future seasons of the show, should it be renewed by Netflix.
