The Office Reboot: What Did Every Main Cast Member Say About Revisiting the Show?
Will there be a chance to see any of the OG cast members in the reboot?
The Office ended in 2013 after nine seasons. However, it remains one of the most quoted shows in pop culture, not to mention its continued popularity on streaming. Apparently, this fact has inspired the producers to think about rebooting the project.
The new version has already been officially confirmed, with director Greg Daniels returning to the project as showrunner. But what did the main cast have to say about revisiting the show?
1. Rainn Wilson
The funniest character on The Office is, of course, Dwight, played by Rainn Wilson. Fans remember that he was one of the highest-ranking salesmen at Dunder Mifflin, with little to no social skills or common sense.
In one of the interviews, Wilson admitted that he would be "would love to revisit" The Office, so maybe we should expect him in the reboot.
2. John Krasinski
John Krasinski is known to most viewers for his role as Jim Halpert, the wittiest employee of Dunder Mifflin and the main rival of Dwight Schrute.
John shared that the cast of The Office became his first creative family, and he would love to do a reboot. So, we have another tick on the list.
3. Jenna Fischer
As for Jenna Fischer, who played Pam and later became Jim's wife (something all fans have been rooting for), she did not give a definite answer, but it's almost obvious that if Krasinski returns, then Fischer will simply have no choice.
According to the actress' comments, it's up to the networks to summon her or not, but judging by the fact that she still co-hosts the Office Ladies podcast with Angela Kinsey, the actress would love to experience what it was like to star in The Office once again.
4. Steve Carell
However, Steve Carell's comment is likely to upset devoted fans. According to the actor behind the former head of Dunder Mifflin, there is no way he will return to the reboot.
In his opinion, many people want the new version to be exactly the same, but that will not happen. Even if the same writers/producers/directors/actors are involved, it will be different.
So for Carell, it's a "no," even when the entire fandom begs "god please."
