That’s what she said.

Have you missed the good old The Office? Anyway, it looks like we all need to get ready for a big event – The Office is getting a reboot, but the best part of all is that the director of the show we all love so much, Greg Daniels, is planning to once again run all the operations of Dunder Mifflin.

According to Puck News, the showrunner of the US version of The Office, Greg Daniels, is working on a reboot. After the end of the strikes, the studios will make many announcements – one of them will be a teaser of a new version of The Office. However, there are no details about the cast or the release date yet.

So far, the idea of reviving a cult show like The Office, which ended not so long ago – just 10 years ago – seems questionable to many fans. The viewers are still too attached to Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and Rainn Wilson, and seeing other actors in their places would feel like an insult to the classics.

In general, if you ask any The Office fan why exactly they love the show, they will probably say something about how the characters have become like family to them. This is not some kind of cliche, but a completely logical result of how brilliantly the project worked.

The US version of The Office, unlike the British one, went in a different direction – it became very cozy, because the writers did a lot of work on the characters. They didn't make them seem like a bunch of colorful stereotypes, instead turning them into a wonderfully dysfunctional family.

Surprisingly, it was the Dunder Mifflin routine that kept the sitcom going for years. It was no coincidence that the characters seemed sincere – many of the actors were friends before filming began, others became friends during the process.

The US Office is still being turned into memes frame by frame, and a GIF of Steve Carell's character screaming NOOOOO remains one of the most popular reactions to any bummer. Even the Office Ladies podcast, in which actresses Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey simply share memories from the set, has become a hit.

All of this suggests that the world may not be ready for a new version of The Office just yet.
