The Most Unrealistic Thing About Stranger Things is Actually Pretty Annoying
We know it bothers you too.
Stranger Things is not exactly a show to watch for realism, but some people, while willing to accept demogorgons and an evil parallel dimension, just can't get over the fact that Steve Harrington is unwanted.
Did Billy Ever Have a Chance to Become a Good Guy in Stranger Things?
First of all – have you seen Joe Keery? Fans say it is simply impossible that no one in the fictional town of Hawkins would be interested in dating a handsome, charismatic guy like Keery's Steve.
Yet, in season 4, we are somehow supposed to believe that this very Steve Harrington – who actually started out as a heartbreaker and a popular guy – is not doing so well in love life and is struggling to find a girlfriend. Not the most believable thing in the world, if you ask Stranger Things fans.
One person tried to come up with an explanation for Steve being single.
Others suggested that it might not be that women don't want to date Steve, but that Steve doesn't want to date the women who approach him. Let's face it: in season 4, he makes it clear that he's still in love with Nancy, and the only woman Steve has ever been interested in besides Nancy is Robin. However, Robin is a lesbian, which makes her and Steve's relationship purely platonic.
Stranger Things Season 5 Should Finally Do Something About Will's Haircut
Who knows? Maybe the fifth and final season of Stranger Things will finally bring some closure to Steve Harrington's love life. But it's highly unlikely that every single Steve fan will enjoy it.
Season 5 of Stranger Things is currently in the works. Writing has already begun, and the writers shared the title of the first episode, The Crawl, on 6 November, when the fandom celebrates Stranger Things Day. A premiere date has yet to be set.
