The Most Underrated Bridgerton Scene is Also the Hottest One
It's the gossip, the scandal, the secret affairs, and the many, many (many) sex scenes that have had Netflix viewers hooked on Bridgerton for two seasons straight.
The 12 Emmy-nominated romance series is set in the 1800s in England, and the first season focuses on the love story of the oldest daughter of an affluent family, Daphne Bridgerton, and the Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset.
What starts off as a faux romance between the pair for their own personal gain evolves into real feelings and attraction towards each other, and so begins their love story that grips viewers' hearts over the first season.
Season 1 was released amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, so it comes as no surprise that one of the biggest attractions for the physical-touch-starved audience of the show is the Duke himself.

Simon Basset, played by Rege-Jean Page, could be considered a sex symbol in his own right. His character is charming and mysterious with a cheeky smile, great body, and biceps that are mentioned by fans on the internet over and over again. The Duke has characters in the show and fans of the show swooning over him from his very first to his very last appearance.
The two released seasons racked up enough sex scenes to have a list made to rank them all, but one of the steamiest and most underrated moments involves no sex or physical touch at all.

The writers of Bridgerton have since revealed that the spoon scene was part of their mission to create what they called "thirsty" moments in the series. The scene takes place in a cafe, with Daphne sitting, she gazes over at the Duke and catches him in the moment, seductively licking a spoon, obviously finishing and enjoying whatever treat he was eating. She gazes at him for a brief second and then looks away, clearly very very flustered. Fans can definitely relate to Daphne's feelings at this moment because that scene was hot!

Hot enough in fact to become one of the most talked about scenes in the season, the internet absolutely erupted over it, with one fan even saying "I'll never look at a spoon the same way again." There has even been an Instagram page made, dedicated to the Duke and this moment, as well as his other spicy moments, called Thedukesspoon.
