The Most Iconic SVU Plot Twist Happened All The Way Back in Season 10
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) is notorious for keeping audiences guessing. It seems, just like when they feel like they got it all figured out, a significant plot twist or unexpected event occurs that disrupts everything.
Consequently, when determining some of the best moments in Law & Order: SVU history, fans must consider an episode that dates all the way back to season 10. The episode, titled "Babes", revolves around the gruesome murder of a homeless man along with an apparent suicide at a nearby high school.

The detectives suspect a pyromaniac who happens to have a very protective mom with a thick New Jersey accent. When the student is questioned by law enforcement, he not only confesses to burning the man alive but is proud of the crime. Why? The student claims it was out of revenge for the homeless man sexually assaulting his sister.
Nevertheless, when detectives meet with the sister, they discover the sex was not only consensual but led to pregnancy. What's more, she's proud she got knocked up. Her mother, however, is far from overjoyed. Notwithstanding, the daughter informs her horrified mother that she wanted to get pregnant as part of a pact with a few other students at the school. In fact, the Ringleader of the group is also pregnant despite agreeing to celibacy with her current boyfriend.
Thus, when the Ringleader turns up dead in an apparent suicide, law enforcement has questions for Dizzer (who Redditors definitely agree ranks among the most annoying characters of all time).
He's responsible for getting the Ringleader of the high school group pregnant but did not harass the Ringleader into killing herself. Rather, it was the boyfriend's mother (remember Jersey girl?) who collaborated with her son to cover up the death as a suicide.
And, in one final good act (which nevertheless was unexpected), the pregnant teenager that is still alive gets adopted by the father of the deceased homeless man. The reason? He doesn't believe a child should be born without a home.
