Halloween is coming, after all. Time to brace ourselves.

If you are a big fan of horror — and especially jumps-cares — then Netflix certainly has something to offer you for some Halloween binge-watching. Horror series The Midnight Club premiered on October 7, but has already secured a Guinness World Record for the most scripted jump-scares in a single episode of television at 21 scary moments.

But one particular scene in The Midnight Club is so stuffed with jump-scares that you might even get accustomed to them at some point. We counted nine in this little outtake of just 2 minutes. And yeah — don't play the video unless you're okay with getting jump-scared.

The way the characters themselves make fun of the jump-scares and their quality does not help, right?

The series follows the story of a group of terminally ill young adults who reside at a hospice run by an enigmatic doctor. At midnight, they gather to tell each other scary stories, because, you know, they can. At some point they come up with an idea — the first one to succumb to their disease will be responsible for communicating with the rest of the group from the afterlife.

Naturally, when one of them dies, bizarre things begin to happen, and one might think that the responsibility was taken way too serious.

The scene that Netflix decided to share in order to lure more viewers has predictably sparked a debate between those who love jump-scares and those who believe they are "cheap horror". However, the show itself also does a great job at poking fun at the genre, so it's almost like The Midnight Club kind of sided with those who don't like jump-scares that much.

Still, even though the show has secured that world record for jump-scares, people believe there are other reasons to give it a watch – for example, a subtle but touching bonding that was between characters throughout the whole story, on the emotional aspect of the story.

Three weeks until Halloween — and you might already have a show to watch on October 31 with your friends, huh?

The Midnight Club is available on Netflix for streaming, starting October 7.
