In addition to fictional characters, Marvel has real-life superheroes who are mostly unknown to the general public. One of these people is a woman you are bound to love once you learn what is it that she does exactly.

When asked who the most important person at Marvel Studios is, the majority of fans will undoubtedly name Kevin Feige. But beyond the beloved president of Marvel Studios, the answers may vary.

Some fans will remember Bob Iger, who once gave Feige full creative control, while others will say that Marvel's success, which began with Iron Man 1, would be impossible without Robert Downey Jr.

Few MCU fans will be able to name a true Marvel hero, Sarah Finn, who has been the casting director for the MCU since 2006.

It is really hard to overstate Sarah Finn's contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This superwoman has impressive credentials - she has cast every MCU project (36 films and 16 shows) since the first Iron Man. In fact, it was Finn who first saw Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and shared her vision with the world.

Sarah Finn is as indispensable to the MCU as Kevin Feige, its secret weapon.

Wakanda Forever Failed to Address What Effectively Became a Glaring Plot Hole

Every actor and Marvel employee Finn has worked with cites her incredible instincts for seeing an unexpected new side of a comic book hero and discovering an actor who not only checks all the boxes, but feels right for the part.

"When you find that actor whose sensibilities and perspectives not only merge with the character but breathe life into it so that you're seeing things you hadn't even expected to see or thought of or considered, then you're watching that character come to life in front of you," Finn explained in her interview with Marie Claire.

Now that is a step up from your usual casting. It is not surprising the decisions about which actors will be loved by millions of fans worldwide, which faces will appear on countless merchandise products, or who the next celebrity crush will be, are made by a very talented professional able to see beyond usual cinematography requirements. Despite her status in Marvel Studios, Finn is a very modest woman. She seems fine with the idea that few MCU fans know her name. The casting director confessed that if she knew how successful the MCU would become when she was casting Iron Man, she "would've run out the door."
