Don't get too starstruck by The Flash trailer and the two Batmans.

Despite the fact that DC fans were pleasantly surprised by how intense and action-packed the new Flash trailer was (not to mention the tease of not one, but two caped crusaders portrayed by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton), there's still a problem that pretty much every superhero movie these days is no stranger to.

Yes, the CGI. According to fans who may have spent a little too much time watching the trailer, some frames look like they were shot for a video game, not something that will soon be hitting the big screen.

Many DC fans are actually triggered by the trailer, comparing it to what Marvel Studios has to offer — and not in a flattering way.

"Yes there are Snyderverse memberberries in the Flash to trick your nostalgia, together with Keaton and his universe. But the CGI, costumes and script is MCU tier, [specifically] phase 4," Twitter user andy_warth argued.

MCU Phase Four has indeed weathered a lot of criticism for the CGI of its projects. Perhaps the most notorious project when it comes to questionable visual effects is She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where it was sometimes a challenge not to confuse Jennifer Walters with a Sims character.

The Flash, however, has some time before the premiere to polish up its CGI. The last thing the movie needs is additional backlash over VFX, as The Flash is already mired in controversy over its star, Ezra Miller, who has been accused of kidnapping, harassment and grooming. The actor has apologized for their behavior and promised to seek help for their mental health, but a significant part of the fandom is still not okay with The Flash even being released as long as Miller remains its star.

The Flash hits theaters June 16.
