The Father in How I Met Your Father Might Be Someone We Never Expected (Or Did We?)

How I Met Your Father is a sequel series of the original show that delved into the mysterious personality of the kids’ mother. As iconic as How I met Your Mother was, the new series just keeps fans on the edge all the time.
At the beginning of the sitcom, it was pretty clear that the main love story that is going to be at the center of the show is the one between Sophie and Jesse. But over the course of the two seasons, the focus had changed so many times that at some point it really started to feel like there wasn't any room left for that couple.
Of course, there have been many hints that Jesse is the father of Sophie's child. For example, his portrait hangs in the older Sophie's apartment. But after the season 2 finale aired, fans began to feel that he was not the father after all.
Even though season 2 ended with the two of them confessing their feelings to each other.
The last episode also gave a big hint about the possible future of Sid and Sophie. The thing is, when Hannah confessed that she cheated on Sid, he replied that he also had something going on with another woman. And Hannah's reaction left fans slightly confused.
“I definitely think Sid is the father, I always thought they introduced the girl he met on his flight simply so that they could break him and Hannah off, and eventually get Sid with Sophie. Hannah asking Sid if it was Sophie he had a thing with, was COMPLETELY out of the blue, like that has to be foreshadowing,” Reddit user snakedomination said.
As it turns out, the season finale sent fans into a frenzy with their theories that Sid and Sophie were just meant to be together and that this could really be the endgame.
For what it's worth, maybe not showing the kid is a hint at that, too?
