Love scenes are important for the narrative in many movies, but sometimes they make us cringe so hard we'd rather pretend we didn't see them.

Iron Man

The very first MCU movie had the guts to show a quick sex scene, which isn't something you usually see in Marvel movies nowadays. But the scene makes you wonder, was it really necessary?

In the movie, Stark charms a gorgeous journalist, and they end up getting busy in his bed. They even tumble off the bed while passionately kissing, and Stark bursts into laughter like a maniac for absolutely no apparent reason.

For a lot of people, this scene felt completely out of sync in an otherwise fantastic movie.

The Return of the Swamp Thing

Ever wanted to see the Swamp Thing having sex on screen? Thank goodness it didn't happen, but it was really close to it in The Return of the Swamp Thing.

In this scene the girl has some kind of imaginary sex with the swamp monster who turned human.

Better Call Saul

In one of these scenes from the last season, we see Kim living the dullest life you can only imagine. In this scene, Kim is having sex with her most ordinary husband, who repeatedly says "Yep" during the intercourse.

Many fans think that this scene is arguably the most ridiculous and cringy on the show.

The Room

If there are words to describe this scene, it is really hard to find them. The Room by Tommy Wiseau is the best example of "so bad, it's good."

The sex scene in question is accompanied by weird cartoonish music. But what's even more unsettling is the guy's face that expresses the unimaginable range of emotions.

Splice

This one is messed up. In this sci-fi movie from 2009, Adrien Brody's character hooks up with the alien creature he actually created. And she's practically like his daughter.

So yeah, we've got a lovely combo of creature sex and some weird quasi-incest vibes, or at least that's what it looks like.
