'The Boys' Season 3: Karl Urban Reveals Butcher's Superpowers Arc
One of Amazon's biggest hits is preparing a juicy surprise for its upcoming 3rd season – Karl Urban's Billy Butcher, famous for his distaste for superheroes, acquiring the superpowers himself.
'The Boys ' season 3 trailer confirmed fans expectations of Butcher's new superpowers – heat vision, that brings him much closer to Homelander (Anthony Starr) than expected. Previously being a known anti-supe guy, Butcher's loyalty to his ideals would be severely tested.
While talking to Entertainment Weekly, Karl Urban shared his thoughts on season 3 biggest dilemma that will certainly change alliances of all the characters involved.
"That's the dilemma: does Butcher become a superhero or a super villain? In order to defeat the monster, do you become the monster? And I think that's one of the cool things about this season is every character is faced with that choice. How far are they willing to go? What line are they willing to cross in order to achieve what they want to achieve? For all the characters on the show, it creates a conflict and it's fun to see who actually ends up on whose side".
Looks like the upcoming season will be riddled with serious moral questions, which would ultimately change 'The Boys' universe for good.
