Fans get the feeling this might be the beginning of the end.

The Boys is one of those shows where characters don't have to have a redemption arc to be loved and accepted by the fandom.

By focusing on superheroes who clearly use their powers and abilities for themselves rather than to save the world, The Boys made it clear: they are all for the villains.

However, one character may actually break the cycle and be redeemed in the eyes of the fans. A-Train has been through a lot over the past three seasons of the show, and fans feel that his story may be coming to an end.

So would a redemption arc of some kind be worth a possible death that would follow?

"A-Train had his eyes opened last season to where he was able to give Hughie a genuine apology and he seemed to be absolutely not okay with what Ashley was expecting of him for his return to the Seven," Redditor Limp_Ease_9373 said.

"All this suggests to me that they're definitely going to make him a sacrificial lamb for the story but redeem him first. I don't think he will make it out of Season 4 alive".

Although some viewers are willing to accept A-Train's death as a necessary sacrifice to move the story forward, others just don't believe it's possible.

Throughout the seasons, The Boys has not killed off many characters, except for the guest stars and supporting characters who had no major roles to begin with. A-Train, however, could set a precedent.

The other thing fans are concerned about is whether he deserves a redemption arc at all.

Throughout the episodes, A-Train has seemed neither particularly good nor particularly evil, but rather very arrogant and sneaky, taking the most advantageous side for his own good.

Whether A-Train will have his redemption arc, and whether it will end in death, or whether he will just continue to work against The Seven, we will see in The Boys season 4.

It is already confirmed, but there is no official release date. Stay tuned for more news and behind-the-scenes updates!
