The Boys Fan Theory Predicts Worst-Case Scenario for Homelander in the Finale
The season is almost over, and it will probably not bring anything good for Homelander.
The disappointment surrounding the new season of The Boys has finally come to an end. Showrunner Eric Kripke has proven that the series is still brutal, dramatic and wildly exciting. Episode 7 keeps the level high: it has blood, fights and high stakes.
By Episode 7, there is no trace of the sluggishness that the season was criticized for. Now things are changing so fast you can't keep up. Homelander who chatted with Butcher in the first episodes now sends him angry Supes. Or take his relationships with Sister Sage and Firecracker – these two characters have switched places, and this has led to a lot of madness.
What Happened in The Boys Season 4 Episode 7?
A-Train follows Sage and learns of an imminent assassination attempt on the future president. Butcher, Starlight and Hughie make their way to the mercenaries' hideout, where they find murder plans and a wounded woman in the closet.
Starlight comforts the poor woman, but it turns out she is not a victim, but an evil supe with the ability to change her appearance. Running out into the street, the shapeshifter changes their appearance and disappears into the crowd.
At the end of the episode, it is revealed that the shapeshifter took on Starlight's appearance, stole all the information from the safe, and escaped. The real Annie wakes up in an abandoned building and finds herself chained.
Homelander Will Be Framed by Sage, According to Fans
Eric Kripke posted the title page of the script for Season 4, Episode 8 on Twitter. As stated in the script, the episode will be called Assassination Run.
Judging by the title of the episode, Season 4 will not end well for one of the politicians of The Boys universe, specifically Robert Singer, who is running for president.
Fans already have a theory about what will happen in the finale, which takes into account new variables – the firing of Sage and the appearance of the shapeshifter.
According to the Redditor shyhiker14, due to the fact that Homelander kicked out Sage, the smartest supe in the world will decide to frame him. And the shapeshifter is the perfect tool to do so.
The shapeshifter in the form of Starlight will kill Singer, which will lead to Homelander killing the fake Starlight, making him a national hero.
But then information will be released that the real Annie is alive, and Homelander's role in the assassination will be revised – thanks to Sage's well thought out plan, he will be seen as the one who organized it all to take power.
