The Bold and the Beautiful Hope and Liam Face Long-Awaited Reunion, But It Won't Last

Many people believe that soap generally uses only three storylines to keep things going: cheating, pregnancy, and death. All three can do wonders for characters who have lost their audience appeal and need a little more scandal around them.

The Bold and the Beautiful is no stranger to all three. Although death is for the more radical approach, cheating and pregnancy are always there to change the mood of any relationship. Even for characters who are just steps away from a happy reunion.

Hope Logan and Liam Spencer had their problems and their marriage did not seem to work out. However, as any loving parents would do, they managed to put everything aside for Beth's birthday party, and it may have worked wonders for them. Many viewers felt the change between the two, and it's pretty obvious that the writers are trying to get Hope and Liam back together.

Too bad it probably won't last, even if they do.

There are just too many mysterious factors that can keep lovebirds apart. Even though they weren't technically together, neither Liam nor Hope are ready to face the information about their flings.

For Hope, learning that Liam tried to kiss and confess his love to Steffy would be enough to give up on the idea of fixing their marriage. And there is one character who could bring up the truth, intentionally or not: Wyatt.

Although Hope's own fling with Thomas is clearly over, there is no way Liam would be happy to accept whatever happened between them. After the jealousy attack he had when he saw Hope and Thomas kissing in Rome, it's hard to imagine how things would go if he found out what else they were doing.

This relationship, no matter how close they get to a happy ending, is sitting on a ticking bomb. And it's only a matter of time before we find out who's going to set it off.
