Yes, it's been four years. No, we're not moving on.

Summary:

  • Arrow's finale has left fans disappointed as it makes the deaths of characters pointless.
  • The finale changed the timeline throughout the Multiverse, bringing back characters like Quentin, Tommy, and Moira. Fans argue that this decision leaves out the emotional impact of their deaths and makes Oliver appear selfish.

Despite the fact that Arrow ended over 4 years ago, fans are still unsatisfied with the decision to bring dead characters such as Quentin, Tommy, and Moira back to life.

To remind you, the show ended in 2020 with the total amount of 8 seasons and 170 episodes. At the finale after Crisis, the timeline throughout the Multiverse was changed.

On Earth Prime, Moira Queen was not killed by Deathstroke in 2014 (Oliver saved her), Quentin Lance, Tommy Merlyn and Emiko Queen are also alive, and Star City's crime rate has dropped to zero.

And even though it may seem like a perfect happy ending, fans think that it's also “very stupid.” The main problem with bringing the characters back is that it leaves out the emotional impact of their deaths.

We bawled our eyes out when Tommy died in the arms of Oliver in the season 1 finale, and now he’s back alive and well. Why even bother worrying about other characters?

Moreover, fans think that it made Oliver look selfish because why would he only resurrect his loved ones? And if that’s the case, why didn’t he bring Laurel back to life?

“Apparently he could only bring back the deaths that didn't change him as a person. Which is weird because the entire reason he stopped killing was because of Tommy,” Redditor Both-Ad-8463 says.

But the most infuriating fact out of all of this is: why didn’t Oliver give Roy his arm back? You’re telling us that he was able to bring all these people back to life but couldn’t spare the poor dude his arm?

So the ending leaves more questions than answers for those who paid close attention to this whole "coming back to life" thing.
