The 90's is a strange decade. Although its style and atmosphere are still beloved today, it's not uncommon to hear the argument that the movies, music and literature of the decade were miles behind the 80's and 70's.
However, the rise of great TV shows at the end of the 20th century can't be overlooked or questioned – the 90s simply produced too many wonderful shows, many of which still hold up well today.
Obviously, none of the shows listed above really look like something that could be released today. The visual qualities of the 90's shows are easily recognizable as the work of a previous generation, but even though today's shows look much better than those old hits, they struggle to compete with them in terms of influence and overall quality.
