Terribly Addictive Netflix Documentary Is a Must-Watch for Narcos Fans
You can become a part of the hunt for the king of the underworld.
If you’re a die-hard Netflix binger, we bet you’ve seen Narcos, the acclaimed crime drama show that tells the story of the most notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.
Undoubtedly, this Colombian narcoterrorist left a mark in history by the exploits of his Medellín Cartel that produced and distributed tons of cocaine and that made him one of the richest people in the whole world.
There is some good news for those who like to tickle their nerves learning about Escobar’s dark deeds: Netflix has added another documentary that focuses on his life, or, to be more precise, on his decadence.
The point is the upcoming film not only introduces us to the drug lord, but also gives more insight on the operation that marked the end of his era, those 500 days when authorities relentlessly tried to put an end to his criminal reign.
It promises to depict the web of strategies and tactics that helped to stop the Medellín Cartel’s dirty business and to finally catch Escobar in 1993. Be sure that there are some unexpected turns of the story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Every day of that long period was reminiscent of a crime plot written by a skilled playwright, but we know that life is the best writer. Therefore, the true story told in the doc is even more twisted and entertaining than some movie takes on drug lords.
Titled 500 Days of Escobar, this documentary film will feature testimonies of those who were in charge of that 500-day manhunt, interviews with Escobar’s henchmen, ex-junkies and today’s policemen who also hunt drug dealers.
It will add to another Netflix’s titles that follow the rises and the falls of Pablo Escobar. Apart from Narcos (2015 - 2017), he was at the center of the show Pablo Escobar, El Patron del Mal (2012) and the documentary The Two Escobars (2010).
This documentary already aired in Colombia in 2023, but now it is finally coming to Netflix and is going to attract a wider audience who is interested in dark crime stories.
Don’t miss 500 Days of Escobar, as it is available on Netflix’s catalog starting today, July 19.
