Teen Wolf: Saddest Season 3 Death, According to Reddit
One of the show's bloodiest seasons had many deaths, but one in particular caught fans off guard.
The creators of MTV's hit supernatural show have never been shy about killing off their characters, even the main ones have passed away untimely over the course of six seasons.
The story of a teenage werewolf Scott McCall is definitely a gruesome one, with the unwilling hero shedding blood and losing friends on his difficult road to redemption. And it may have been in the third season that Scott suffered the worst consequences of his actions, with many prominent characters dying.
Of all the major deaths that occurred in season three, none had the same impact as that of Allison Argent's, a descendant of a long line of French werewolf hunters and Scott's ex-girlfriend.
Fans adored this strong-willed girl and always cheered her on as she searched for the meaning of her heritage, so the girl's death from a stabbing was a major blow to the Teen Wolf community.
Allison certainly died as a hero, engaging in a battle with Oni in an attempt to protect her best friend Lydia from demonic warriors trying to kill her.
Fighting evil spirits, she stepped in to shield her friend Isaac from a killing blow, trading her life for his. Such devotion broke not only the hearts of her friends but also those of Allison's fans, forever cementing her death as one of the saddest in the entire series.
...At least, that was until Teen Wolf: The Movie was announced, the trailer for which brought fans of the franchise huge news – Allison is in fact alive and will return in the upcoming film.
Viewers have yet to find out how she survived the attack and where she's been all these years, but one thing is for sure – the effect of her death at the end of season three now certainly has diminished, with fans even accusing the writers of ruining Allison's entire arc and depriving her of a fitting and heroic finale.
