Team Edward or Team Jacob? Twilight’s Hottest Debate Finally Has an Answer
We were pondering the question all these years for nothing – Kristen Stewart gave us a definitive answer over a decade ago!
Numerous interviews and Q&As have come and gone, and the Twilight stars (and the author) have managed to gracefully dodge the question, letting the fans have their fun. No more!
In 2011, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart won the Best Kiss Award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards (rightfully so, their kiss in Eclipse was fire!).
They came out on stage to accept it, and everyone expected them to do what couples usually do when they win this award. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling know what is up!
Instead, Pattinson and Stewart decided to settle the Team Edward vs. Team Jacob debate for good, and they did so brilliantly.

Apparently, both actors shipped Edward/Jacob, and that was the perfect moment to show it to the world. Robert and Kristen exchanged looks, Stewart silently (and then not) gave Pattinson her blessing, and he happily ran into the audience to give Taylor Lautner a smooch.
Everyone was cheering them on (the guy sitting next to Lautner was seemingly over the moon), and the years-long debate was settled. However, Taylor wasn’t as happy to receive Robert’s kiss as we would expect him to be!
He even wiped his mouth afterward. Was vampire breath really that bad? Robert, take a mint next time, will you…
Well, Twilight took family love to a whole new level. Now all we need is for Bella to give a smacker to Rosalie or Alice, and we’ll be all set.
The 2010s were truly a different time, and no wonder we all miss it so much. Thankfully, the Twilight renaissance of the 2020s is real, and with a reboot on the way, we might just get nostalgic once more in the nearest future!
