In season 9 episode 11, titled The Opening Night Excitation, Sheldon finally agrees to have sex with Amy for the first time ever, highlighting that it would be her birthday present and thus making a new meme for The Big Bang Theory fans to associate the show with.

The scene of Amy and Sheldon’s intimate moment has nothing specific to talk about, yet the episode came as something many fans had been anticipating for years, and eventually gathered more than 24 million viewers close to their screens waiting for the plot twist to air back in 2015.

The scene eventually set a new Guinness World Record for the biggest live audience tuning in for an episode, something The Big Bang Theory’s parental network, CBS, still hasn’t broken years later.
