Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory was definitely a handful, anybody can admit. But his closest friends were the ones who suffered the most.

See, their love towards Sheldon was unconditional, so all the inconvenience that he caused was taken bravely (although with a deep sigh).

But one character in the series had a strong enough personality to resist Sheldon-kinda attitude. Yes, it's Sara Gilbert's Leslie Winkle, the bang's college from the university.

She even had a special nickname for Sheldon, and it's not Shelly (try "dumbass"). The Sheldon and Leslie storyline and their tricky toxic relationship is actually one of the reasons why fans loved her so much.

"I loved her! Seriously, Sheldon was a bit annoying to everyone and it was so funny to see him being annoyed by someone. Really wanted to see her more, someone put a post of a spin-off here, I would definitely wish to see more of Leslie Winkle!" Reddit user Snoo23644 said.

One of the deadly weapons Leslie used to annoy Sheldon was the fact…that she was actually smarter than him.

Remember the episode The Bat Jar Conjecture, where Winkle ended up in a team with Sheldon's best friends, and he himself gathered a team of random university workers.

The one where Sheldon was trying to prove he alone is smarter than a team of great physicists. And… well, failed greatly.

The other character connected to Leslie was Leonard. Fans remember their brief, but passionate affair. The one where Leonard was defined by Leslie as "magnificent beast".

Unfortunately, the writers didn't give them enough screen time for us to see how their relationship would have developed. They broke up over a scientific disagreement, which Leslie seemed to see as a major problem for future marriage.

Although a lot of fans wanted to keep seeing Leslie more, there actually were enough of them who are definite – her character was a dead end.

"She was good but the problem was that there was no way to include her. The main point of her character in the show was her relationship with Leonard.

After Leonard started dating Penny, there was not too much to do with her character" Reddit user mysteriousneel7 said.

Of course there was also an attempt to build some kind of weirdly romantic relationship between Leslie and Howard. But frankly, let's just try to forget that ever happened…
