Sheldon Cooper, brilliantly played by Jim Parsons, was probably the most complex character on The Big Bang Theory.

Certainly he was the most popular, even getting his own spin-off show. And that's despite his rather abrasive personality. Over twelve seasons, viewers saw Sheldon explode hilariously for many reasons, including quite petty ones, like his special spot on the couch.

No surprise that the favorite moment of the series, named by its co-creator, Bill Prady, involves one of Sheldon's outburst.

Sheldon's famous roommate agreement was a frequent source of humor on The Big Bang Theory. The agreement allowed Sheldon to avoid – or at least to minimize – interpersonal conflict over things like relationships and shared bathroom management.

But at least once it backfired, resulting in a notable and hilarious outburst, which ultimately ended up illustrating key aspects of Sheldon's character.

In the aptly named The Agreement Dissection episode of Season 4, Leonard is dating Raj's sister Priya, who happens to be a highly competent lawyer. When Sheldon dislikes her presence in their apartment and claims it to be a disruptive violation of the roommate agreement, Priya strikes back.

She goes through the text of said agreement, pointing out numerous loopholes, which sends Sheldon into Bill Prady's favorite moment of nerd fury.

"I love the episode where Sheldon doesn't like that Leonard is dating Raj's sister," Prady told in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "She was a lawyer and kept finding loopholes in the roommate agreement and was using it against him. Sheldon gets so mad that he ends up threatening to tell her parents she was dating Leonard and uses the 'Star Trek ' self-destruct sequence to do it. To me, that was this great nerd explosion."

Sheldon's extreme (and childish) response is quite typical for him, from his stubborn, compulsive need to have things go his way all the time, to his obsession with the beloved sci-fi show. It is also one of the few times when Sheldon was thwarted by someone outsmarting him, plain and simple.
