Tarantino Was Mad in Love with Uma Thurman, Wanted to Marry His 'Goddess'
The famous director has always had a soft spot for his lead actresses, but he claims that Uma Thurman is "a different species." Tarantino even wanted to tie the knot!
Quentin Tarantino 's a world-famous genius and an extravagant one at that.
The director's personal life has always been studied under the microscope by both reporters and the general public, and there was always something peculiar there.
Fortunately for all the gossip girls and boys, Tarantino has never been exactly hiding his true feelings.
Whenever the issue of his food fetish came up, the director would typically say something along the lines of "Come on, many people like that stuff. I'm not even the first famous director to cherish feet. Now, piss off!" and be done with it.
The same goes for Quentin Tarantino's attraction to his colleagues. The director has never even tried to hide the fact that he absolutely adored Uma Thurman, his long-time muse: it was the world's shared secret.
Still, neither of the two has ever commented on the rumors about his romantic interest in the actress.
Uma Thurman has been by his side for many years, the star of his many best projects. The actress had lead roles in both Kill Bill installments and Pulp Fiction, one of the best movies Tarantino's ever made.
Their paths split before the work on Kill Bill 3 started; though, there were rumors that the two of them had a thing going.
Despite being very gentle and sensitive about the topic of his relationship with Thurman, Quentin Tarantino has spoken about her on many occasions, and sometimes even shared some interesting revelations.
For one, he admitted that he really wanted to marry his muse back in the day… And was not still quite over it.
"I don't know what she'd think about that, but it's my life that's at stake in this question," admitted the director.
He also described his admiration for the actress by addressing the nature of what beauty means for most people — and for him, personally.
"People talk about beautiful actresses. Like Cameron Diaz, she's a beautiful girl. But I went to highschool with three girls who look like Cameron Diaz. Uma Thurman is a different species. She's up there with Garbo and Dietrich in goddess territory," claimed Tarantino.
While neither he nor Uma has ever given official confirmation to the rumors that have been flying around their duo for years, sources revealed that they'd always had some sort of an on-and-off relationship.
Quentin Tarantino himself has stated that they love each other, but they're "almost too close to be a couple."
