911's best bet is to go back to its roots.

Unfortunately for fans of 911, they won't be seeing their favorite show return to the small screen this fall.

Although it was lucky enough to be picked up by another network, 911 is on hold along with most of the other ABC shows due to the writers strike that is currently taking place.

This gives both fans and the network just enough time to make their decisions about the show.

While it's up to ABC to decide if they want to make any major changes to the production or the direction 911 will take in season 7, the fans are thinking about whether or not they're going to tune in at all.

It's not completely fair to leave a show without giving it a chance after the move, but the fandom is so exhausted from the past season that they don't feel the strength to continue showing unconditional support.

Not to blame FOX, but they screwed up a lot by picking a favorite and pushing it to the front of the line. Now ABC has to find a healthy balance or suggest an alternative.

There is one thing ABC can do to try and save the show from losing all of its fans sooner rather than later: bring back the early spirit.

Many have noticed how the pace of storytelling changed after season 4, and that was not what people wanted to see.

With fewer actual 911 cases and more drama, people felt that the show had lost its purpose, so it would be wise to try to rebuild it.

What would be the final nail in the coffin of 911 is to keep everything as it was last year.

Sure, sometimes people are afraid of big changes, but with the overwhelmingly negative reviews for the season 6 finale, the need for it becomes abundantly clear.

New teammates, new challenges, new cases – anything new could be a breath of fresh air for a show that has been stuck in the same lane for too long.

Keep an eye out for any upcoming updates for 911 season 7, and stream all of the previous seasons on Hulu or Disney Plus.
