What does it feel like to say no to one of the best directors in the world? Ask Stallone.

Quentin Tarantino is famous for his unique style and preferences when it comes to directing movies and casting people in his works.

That's why each of the nine movies he's made so far has been a smash hit, and the one we're all waiting for, the famous movie number 10, actually has pretty high standards of his own.

Many actors have become A-listers after working with Tarantino. Like John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, and of course let's not forget the new Twix couple Pitt and Di Caprio, who became the director's badass muses.

But as it turns out, while some actors spend their entire lives waiting for the chance to appear in a Tarantino movie, some of the stars are willing to turn down the offer without so much as blinking. Sylvester Stallone is one of them.

In fact, Stallone turned down the genius director twice. The first time was when he decided not to take the role of Louis Gara in Jackie Brown.

The role was actually a small one that would show Stallone as a crook and ex-convict. At that time the actor didn't really reveal what was the reason for his refusal. So the role went to Robert De Niro.

The second time Stallone turned down a great offer came years later. Tarantino approached him again, this time with a bigger role.

He wanted the actor to play the Stuntman Mike in a movie called Death Proof. The role was actually quite controversial, so Stallone didn't think twice before refusing.

The thing is, his character was not a good man, to put it politely. Stuntman Mike was a man who murders young women in cars that he tells everyone are "death proof". Although this fact is simply not true.

Stallone told Tarantino that he could never portray such a character because he is the father of two young girls and the role just felt too wrong for him to accept.

Well, frankly, it seems like they both lost almost nothing by not working together. But for those fans who still want the tandem to take place, there is hope that it could happen in Tarantino's acclaimed last film, number 10.

Who knows, maybe the third time will be the charm!
