Surprisingly Accurate 'She-Hulk' Leak Suggests Jim Carrey Joining MCU
Re-he-he-ally?
Leaks (especially regarding Marvel cinematic universe) are not always accurate, but when they are, it's especially exciting for fans. This is what seems to be happening to 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law', with one December leak being surprisingly accurate about what is going to happen in the show.
The leak has already predicted the great Captain America revelation (yeah, that one about his virginity) and the fact that every episode has its own post-credit scene. But now that the majority of the plot details prove to be true, fans suspect that another one may also be real – an alleged Jim Carrey appearance.
According to now 8 months old leak posted on Reddit, Jim Carrey "was on set and filmed something", with the unnamed sources suggesting the iconic actor was to play M.O.D.O.K. – an MCU villain known as Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing.
For those blissfully unaware, this is a form that Aldrich Killian, a Tony Stark enemy, took after his death, according to comics. In the MCU, Killian's character has never been referenced explicitly after his death in 'Iron Man 3' at the hands of Pepper Potts.
However, the leak goes on to add that "Carrey filmed heavily in mocap for multiple projects. His part from She-Hulk could have been cut." Besides, some fans have speculated that Carrie could have also portrayed Samuel Sterns a.k.a. The Leader — an ex-chemical plant worker who got bombarded by gamma radiation and, like Hulk, turned green. His ego made him Hulk's archenemy. While it's still unclear whether M.O.D.O.K. or The Leader will appear in 'She-Hulk', the latter was also rumored to be played by Tim Blake Nelson before allegedly being replaced with Carrey.
With the leak proving to be more or less accurate so far, fans are now suspecting that Carrey might indeed be a part of the MCU. Still, one needs to keep in mind that the actor has recently announced that he is retiring and "has done enough". The latest movie he was a part of is 'Sonic the Hedgehog 2', where Carrey portrays evil Doctor Eggman, Sonic's archenemy.
'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' is currently streaming on Disney Plus, with seven more episodes to arrive and potentially prove the leak to be right – or wrong.
