Supernatural Most Stomach-Churning Episode Is Just Perfect For Halloween
This bad guy is even cooler than Leatherface.
Despite the fact that Supernatural is supposed to be a show about ghosts and demons, it's not easy to recall any really scary episodes. The show focuses on the relationship between the Winchester brothers, and we're grateful for that, but sometimes a little gore and violence is just what we need.
The creators of the show obviously felt the same way, because Supernatural has some truly frightening episodes that will scare even seasoned horror fans. And if you're a fan of body horror, you should definitely watch this episode, even if you've never seen Supernatural before. And what's the best time to watch it? That's right, just before Halloween.
The third season episode, Time Is On My Side, will give you a truly unforgettable experience as it tells of a madman who cuts out the vital parts of his victims.
According to the plot, a young man disappears, and some time later shows up at the hospital without a liver. And no one has any understanding of how he could lose such an important part of his body.
Sam stumbles upon an article about that man and finds out that the fingerprints found on him belong to a long-dead man. The brothers suspect that zombies are behind this robbery (it’s fair, as we know zombies prefer brain and liver), but when Winchesters arrive at a hospital, they find that the man's liver was not ripped out, but surgically removed. And zombies, with their little half-decayed fingers obviously couldn’t use a scalpel.
Realizing that they are digging in the wrong place, Sam starts looking not for the dead, but for the survivors, and after some time he finds out that the wounds of one of the victims with missing organs were sewn up with silk thread and maggots were used to prevent the spread of infection. Well, it’s a rather peculiar expression of concern for the people whose organs you harvest.
The brothers realize that this all sounds very familiar, and turn to their father's diary. They find a story about a surgeon named Doctor Benton who lived in the 19th century and found a way to live forever by replacing organs with new ones.
And though John Winchester once cut out Doc's heart, he seems to have stayed very much alive and is once again kidnapping young, healthy people in order to remain immortal.
If you miss good old creepy villain with stitched-on face and need a good dose of Jeepers Creepers-style plotting, then tune in – Time Is On My Side is just what you've been looking for.
