Halloween is just around the corner. While traditional ghosts and zombies will always have their place in Halloween's hall of fame, why not spice things up this year?

If you are a fan of Supernatural, you're probably looking to pay homage to the beloved show. Whether you're a fan of the quirky, menacing, or downright terrifying, there's a Supernatural look waiting for you.

Leviathan Castiel

Remember when Castiel got all consumed by the Leviathan? That version of our favorite trench-coated angel is perfect for a Halloween makeover.

You'll need a classic Castiel trench coat and suit. You will have to spoil the shirt and the coat with fake blood. You might also want to have black-out contacts. Plus, a hint of black substance (like dark face paint) to paint those evil black veins.

Shōjō

A Shōjō is a Japanese vengeful spirit associated with booze that gives off major spooky vibes.

You'll need a flowy, ethereal dress, preferably white; messy, wild hair (use some hair spray to get it all chaotic!) If you're up for it, white contacts would elevate the creepy factor.

Scarecrow

This isn't your average, friendly Wizard of Oz Scarecrow. The Supernatural Scarecrow is a lot more... menacing, which is just the right choice for Halloween.

To look as menacing as him, you'll need a rugged, old outfit (think worn-out jeans and a plaid shirt); a burlap sack to wear over your head, with holes cut out for eyes; a rugged hat. If you're feeling crafty, some straw or hay sticking out from your sleeves and pants would be a great addition.

Djinn

Djinns, these supernatural beings can trap you in a dream world, so why not be one for the night?

For the costume you'll need a flowy, bohemian attire, preferably in shades of black; intricate black or dark blue tattoos or body paint on your arms, neck and face. You can use temporary tattoo paper or enlist a talented friend to paint them on. Blue contact lenses will be the cherry on top of the cake.
