It seems that a good suit can really do magic.

An unexpected bombshell has landed on Suits, making it one of the most-watched series on streaming platforms in recent memory. The show was already available on Peacock, but in June, it also premiered on Netflix.

The show broke the record for the most-watched acquired show with 3.14 billion viewership minutes in a single week. And now, three weeks in, Suits is breaking its own streaming records on both platforms.

For those who don't know, Suits is a legal drama that premiered in 2011 and aired its final season in 2019.

The series had a controversial main storyline in the early seasons, as it focused on Patrick J. Adams' character Mike lying his way into the law firm that only hires Harvard graduates. And Macht's character, the amazing "closer" attorney Harvey Specter, helps him do it.

The meteoric rise in popularity may also be due to the fact that Meghan Markle was a part of the show long before she became a royal. In fact, some media platforms have referred to Suits as "her show."

“The resurgence of the show has a lot to do with people being curious about Meghan Markle and the show just being good. Plus, Netflix is still the top streaming service so them picking it up got more eyes on it. Meghan Markle is also the biggest name of the main cast so of course the media will call it her show,” Redditor Browneyedgirl2787 said.

Well, whether the audience is watching the show for Markle or to see how Mike's affair is going, it sure seems like the show is about to triple its fandom.
