Since season 1, Stranger Things has followed Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, and Eleven, a girl with telekinetic powers, as the characters uncover chilling secrets and battle terrifying creatures from another dimension.
Max Mayfield, who quickly became one of the central characters of the entire series, joined the gang in the second season. Max is a strong-willed and independent girl who moves to Hawkins with her half-brother Billy and unknowingly becomes a participant in the terrible events taking place in the small town.
Together, the heroes began to fight the Demogorgons. For a long time, however, the show used the same concept, never revealing the secret of the origin of the otherworldly creatures, only adding a large number of unnecessary storylines.
In the fourth season, however, the show's creators finally introduced viewers to the main antagonist by unveiling the character's backstory.
Henry Creel (aka 001) discovered he had powers. But then he got trapped in a lab. He managed to get rid of the tracking device and killed all the other superpowered kids except Eleven. The little girl managed to defeat Henry and send him to the Upside Down, where he transformed into the horrible creature Vecna.
Since then, 001 has been hatching a plan and preparing to capture Hawkins. Creel was no stranger to killing troubled teens to fuel his powers. And one of those victims was going to be Max, but she managed to slip out of captivity at the last moment with the help of the most vivid and happy memories.
However, by the end of the season, young Mayfield was in a coma and showing no signs of life, leading fans to believe that she would not survive the show's finale. However, Redditor Substantial-Tank-836 has a different opinion.
The viewer recalls that during a conversation between Max and Lucas, the girl points out that Vecna uses people's darkest thoughts to enslave them. But if the girl hides in her brightest memories, the villain won't be able to find her because Mayfield knows how to control her mind.
The Redditor believes that Max will successfully disguise herself from 001 and survive the period of unconsciousness until Eleven brings her back to life.
