Stranger Things Theory May Have Revealed Vecna's Darkest Secret

Vecna is a terrifying monster of the Upside Down, who seems to be some kind of ruler of the "other side."

The villain intends to take over the real world, and perhaps the fact that he collects the bodies of his victims rather than disposing of them will help him achieve his goal.

Viewers have seen the bodies of Vecna's victims in his mind lair more than once. Max and Nancy saw the bodies of Chrissy and Fred there.

In season 3, Vecna took over Billy's mind with a mind flayer, and he can use it again to get closer and closer.

Also, using these bodies in this way could give Vecna exactly what he wants. He preys on survivors, so Max, who lost her brother Billy, is the perfect target for him.

At first, Max managed to escape with the help of her favorite song, but at the end of the season, Vecna still managed to capture her, causing Max to fall into a coma.

The fifth season may even bring back characters like Bob or Barb, but only their appearance – the mind will belong to Vecna.

The appearance of these characters can throw the others off balance, making them an easy target for Vecna.

Since Vecna can't just walk around in his normal form, he can also use other bodies to get close to Max, who was in a very unstable position at the end of season 4 – she's still experiencing the death of her brother.

The Duffer brothers have already confirmed that Max is alive, but there's still one main question. Will Max's mind still belong to her or will it be captured by Vecna?

Another possibly even better match for Vecna is Will, as the two seem to have some sort of special connection. In the scene where Will is kidnapped, there is a silhouette that could be a demogorgon, but looks more like Vecna.

So they may have a longer history together than Will thought.

There is no release date for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, but it is expected to be released some time around 2024 or 2025.
