Each season of the series showed us something new or expanded the previous developments.

However, many people didn't like the fact that the third part just stagnated and didn't really move the plot forward.

Season 3 of Stranger Things was met with mixed reactions from fans. Some felt it was a necessary break from the themes of the previous installments, while others felt it was too lighthearted and lacked substance.

However, despite the criticism, many viewers believe that season 3 was the most necessary part of the popular Netflix series.

One of the main reasons is because it allowed the characters to grow and develop.

In the previous installments, the young protagonists were often stuck together, and this chapter made it possible for them to try some new bonds. Season 3 gave us the most memorable pairings, like Mom Steve and Dustin.

Season 3 also introduced new characters that provided depth and complexity to the story. The addition of Robin, who works with Steve at the ice cream shop, created a refreshing change of pace and brought a new dynamic to the series.

Billy was also given more screen time, which allowed viewers to see a different side of him and understand his motivations.

Another reason why fans feel that season 3 was necessary is that it provided a much-needed preparation before Vecna's appearance in the latest chapter.

Season 4 dealt with heavy themes of death, loss, trauma, and extremely blatant murder. The show went from Ghostbusters comedy vibes to A Nightmare on Elm Street horror.

While these themes and atmosphere were necessary to take the series to the next level, they could be emotionally draining for the audience.

Season 3, on the other hand, was more lighthearted in tone, allowing the viewers to relax and enjoy the show without feeling overwhelmed.

Of course, season 3 has many flaws. Despite the lighter tone, the creators could have done a better job of developing the Upside Down and creating more interesting villains.

However, it was this part that managed to prepare the characters and the audience for the arrival of the main antagonist of the series.
