All we had to look for were numbers.

Filming on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things will begin in May 2023. And while the release is not that close, fans are already speculating on what we can expect in the sequel to the events that take place in the small town of Hawkins.

It looks like we can already guess who will defeat Vecna once and for all!

The Duffer Brothers are known for taking great care with their scripts, so that in each episode you may notice a hint that foreshadows the events to come.

And some moments from Season 4 seem to hint at how Eleven and the team will defeat the forces of evil brought by Vecna.

In the first episode of the current season, Mike, Dustin, Erica and the other members of the Hellfire Club, led by the rebellious Eddie Munson, play Dungeons & Dragons. But then Vecna (the D&D one), a powerful lich king, gets in the way.

Erika's confidence turns out to be a victory for the team: she rolls a dice with 20, the highest value, which indicates the most favorable course of events. Of course, this is hardly a hint that it is Erika who will defeat Vecna in real life.

However, in the next episode, in the scene at the rollerdrome, Will gets roller skates with the number 10 on them. 10 plus 10 equals 20. Is this a hint?

Vecna established a psychic connection between him, who embodied the living driving force of the Upside Down, and Will when the kid was possessed by him.

That is why Will Byers can be the lucky dice with the value of 20, and thanks to him the main antagonist and instigator of all evil events will be defeated.

The theory may be supported by the fact that both have become what they are by the time of Season 4.

This theory may be supported by the fact that by the time of season 4, both have become what they are because they have been negatively affected by the concept of time:

"I am especially interested in the relationship between Henry, Will, and time. I personally also think that there will be some sort of "powers" reveal, tho very different from Eleven's.

I lean more towards manipulating the upside down in some way, either by creation or stopping time," Reddit user Miserable-Dream7047 shares their theory.

So, there you have it. Even if the finale focuses on Eleven vs. Vecna, we hope Will will (pun intended) have time to show off!
