In season 2 of Stranger Things, we were introduced to Kali, also known as Eight.
She was a member of the Hawkins Lab experiment, just like Eleven, but 008 had the ability to create illusions. However, her storyline ended abruptly when she parted ways with 011.
Redditor BetPuzzleheaded4080 recently spotted an interesting detail. The viewer understands why many people don't want to see Kali in the finale, but thinks she will reappear so the showrunners can make a spin-off about her later.
The fan also notes that it is unlikely the Duffer Brothers would just cut the storyline of such an important character.
Kali was also mentioned in the last season when the writers explained how 008 escaped. The Redditor believes that 001 (aka Vecna) helped her along the way.
Unlike El, she never thought to help 001 with the tracking device, so she ran away on her own.
The last time viewers saw Eight, she was crying over the fact that her sister had left her. To the fan, this seems like a great motive for Vecna to lure Kali to his side, especially since he helped her.
And it might be the twist in the finale that 008 craves revenge, since her character is built on this trait.
Many fans think that the Duffer Brothers may include Kali in the plot, but it is unlikely that they will make a big storyline out of it.
008 was not very popular during season 2, and the episode featuring her had the lowest rating on IMDb in the history of the series.
Viewers don't really understand why the Duffers would want Eight in the finale, as the audience is quite skeptical of her character.
Still, some fans would like to see Kali back on screen, as they are curious to see her abilities again. And 008 may be the link that provides the surprise ending.
The finale is scheduled to air in 2024 or 2025, but production has not yet begun due to the writers' strike.
